MR VINYL

I thank the glorious God’s of grooviness that this project came my way! Bret Dugmore’s launched the first Mr Vinyl store in 44 Stanley, this April and has already garnered much attention. Let’s conceptualise The Record Store. One pictures piles of dusty covers and crates loaded to the brim with rare artefacts of musical history. Nostalgia to the max, right? We chose to add an air of sophistication to the store, using elegant wainscoting panelling. The Point of Sale counter is in Plascon’s Bovine, a deep squid ink blue, duco with a honed rustenburg granite top. In line with the “gentleman’s’ club” vibe we used walnut stained Oak for the packing tables and record display bins. Obviously, this picture wouldn’t be complete without the luxurious blue velvet sofa and marble coffee table, so those came in too.

Thank you Bret & the Mr Vinyl team for a fun project, I look forward to seeing you thrive!
