As Garden & Home magazine points out in their June 2015 issue article, my friend’s home is a wonderful mix of modern and classic. Another Parkhurst gem, re-furbished by previous owners and now immaculately and stylishly furnished. It was wonderful to collaborate with Leigh who is currently studying interior design, on her home. I like to think I pulled her out of her black and white shell a bit with some exciting and bold color in the lounge and guest bedroom.

The modern sofa, arm chairs and Jielde lamp in the lounge are from Tonic. The bespoke Nero Marquina marble and ferru-grain finish steel coffee table is decidedly sophisticated and warranted that the existing TV unit be brought back to life with a spray of grey duco.

In the guest bedroom, an old sofa was rescued from the brink of collapse and given a new deep navy skin with bold contrast piping. I designed the built in cupboards as a visual feature rather than a merely practical solution. The incredible Elitis wallpaper speaks for itself, as Elitis always does!

Thank you Leigh & Michael for the chance to brighten things up in your home!
