pADDOCK HOUSE

Every time I had the privilege of visiting this home, I felt the sense of escape from the city. Located just far enough to allow a few horses to graze and a few, overly friendly, geese to swim, this one tells a different tale about life in Gauteng.

I am really proud of some incredible custom pieces designed here.

This lounge is truly one for the books, full of great natural light, it’s a wonderful space and we fitted it out appropriately with beautiful bespoke sofas and oversized armchairs. The carefully designed drinks cabinets include concealed lighting and reeded glass doors. The black oak plays off nicely with the walnut-stained coffee table and ottoman and the natural oak floors. There’s nothing wrong with a collection of different woods as long as they are chosen with consideration.

Other noteworthy pieces are the beautiful rattan-fronted console table in the entrance Hall, set in front of this incredible wallpaper mural, and these swanky dining chairs with black steel arms. One of our signature dining tables paired with a comfy banquette creates an intimate mealtime spot. I’m also so grateful when clients have great art for us to use throughout the home.

Thank you N & J for allowing us into your home… it really is a special one.
